SIA in first NDP flypast, featuring its A380
Singapore
COME Aug 9, a Singapore Airlines Airbus 380 will add aerial excitement to Singapore's 50th National Day Parade. The plane's appearance will be the first time SIA is participating in the NDP flypast. The A380 - which has a wingspan of about 80 metres - will feature Singapore-flag motifs on both sides of the fuselage, official SG50 logos on the engines and the NDP 2015 "Majulah Singapura - Our Golden Jubilee" logo on the undercarriage.
And what's SIA without the Singapore Girl? As the plane flies over the Marina Bay area, the Vintage Parade segment will feature 20 Singapore Girls on trishaws, showcasing the carrier's iconic service, and its famous advertisements of the past. The public can view the spectacular flypast for the first time during the Preview Show on Aug 1, ahead of the official aerial flypast during the actual parade on Aug 9.
