Assets under management of 500 top asset managers exceed US$93 trillion
Asia-Pacific fund managers' pace of growth outstrip the average at 17 per cent, with total AUM of US$8.1 trillion
TOTAL assets under management (AUM) of the world's 500 largest fund managers rose 15.6 per cent to US$93.8 trillion at end-2017, based on research by Willis Towers Watson's Thinking Ahead Institute.
The top 20 firms - led by BlackRock which had AUM of US$6.28 trillion - accounted for over 43 per cent of the top 500 managers' total AUM.
Asia-Pacific fund managers' pace of growth outstripped the average at 17 per cent, with total AUM of US$8.1 trillion. The Asia-Pacific growth rate outpaced that of Europe and North America as well.
