1MDB fails to repay RM2b loan

STATE investment company 1Malaysia Development Bhd has failed to repay a RM2 billion (S$748.7 million) loan due on Dec 31, The Edge Financial Daily reported, citing sources whom it did not identify.
The company has been given until Jan 30 to settle the debt to lenders led by Malayan Banking Bhd and RHB Bank Bhd that was first due on Nov 30, the newspaper said.
