AIA rolls out digital underwriter amid upgrading glitches
Underwriting is done on the spot, instead of taking three days, freeing underwriters to handle complex cases
Singapore
INSURER AIA Singapore has rolled out the industry's first fully mobile digital underwriter to shorten the time needed for policy applications, even as it struggles to deal with glitches arising from the upgrading of its administration systems.
The digital underwriter is built into its interactive point-of-sales system (iPoS) and is available to its agency force of more than 4,000 tied agents, as well as to other distribution channels that use iPoS on iPads.
