AIG first in S'pore and Asia to cover senior managers against internal probes

THE region's market for directors and officers (D&O) liability insurance has grown in the last few years on the back of an increasingly litigious climate and more enforcement actions.
Last year, there were 82 regulatory and criminal actions taken in Asia, a jump by about a third from 2013, said insurer AIG Singapore. It attributed this increase to the rising number of regulatory enforcement actions, enhanced investment in staff and improved technology.
