IN celebrating its 10th birthday on Tuesday, Credit Counselling Singapore shows again just how relevant it is to the banking industry here.
Speaking at its anniversary luncheon, CCS president Kuo How Nam said that the non-profit organisation, which helps distressed debtors with their repayment, struggled to get funding in its early days. On some level, it reflected the brush-off from Singaporeans when it came to those who had wilfully sunk into debt.
