Credit Suisse pays Thiam US$4.7m for 2015
[ZURICH] Credit Suisse Group AG Chief Executive Officer Tidjane Thiam received US$4.7 million for his first six months on the job, when he mapped out a strategy for the Swiss bank that he is now accelerating.
Mr Thiam, 53, who joined in July, received a bonus of 2.86 million francs (S$4.02 million) and a base salary of 1.58 million francs, Zurich-based Credit Suisse said in its annual report Thursday.
He also received 14.3 million francs to compensate for pay he gave up when he left his previous role as CEO of Britain's Prudential Plc.
