TransferWise to muscle in on S'pore SME market

It plans to roll out a Borderless account for SMEs in Singapore as early as next month

TRANSFERWISE - a fintech focused on forex transactions - has plans to offer next month a way for small businesses in Singapore to manage overseas transactions involving multiple currencies, edging into a space traditionally held by banks.

The move comes as the fintech firm that has its beginnings in London raised US$280 million in its latest funding round, with plans to channel those fresh investments into boosting its presence in Asia.
