Fresh hope for regional M&As, caution over listings

WITH the easing caution brought on earlier by political changes in the region, bankers are hopeful of more mergers and acquisitions (M&As) in Southeast Asia next year, with Singapore being no exception.
There is less optimism, though, about the initial public offering (IPO) market, partly as interest in yield products such as real estate investment trusts (Reits) wanes in Singapore, bankers added.
