HSBC celebrates corporate sustainability by raising S$242,000
Singapore
HSBC Singapore celebrated its 2017 Corporate Sustainability Night with a Scale the Heights for Charity fundraising activity in support of The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (STSPMF) and The Business Times Budding Artists Fund (BTBAF) at the Masons on Thursday.
Minister for Social and Family Development Tan Chuan-Jin, HSBC Singapore CEO Tony Cripps, BTBAF chairman Alvin Tay, and STSPMF general manager Tan Bee Heong led the fundraising challenge.
Participating teams of five members each had three minutes to take turns to scale the wall, collect the flags at the top and go back down to the team.
There was no limit to the number of rounds that each team could go. The more flags collected, the more funds raised.
The event raised S$242,000, which will be split between the two charities. THE STRAITS TIMES
