John Hancock hires veterans to boost ETF strategy

JOHN Hancock Investments, a US arm of Manulife Financial Corp, hired veterans of some of the biggest US asset managers to help its push into exchange-traded funds.
Steven Deroian joins as head of ETF strategy and reports to Philip Fontana, head of product development, the company said on Monday in a statement. He worked most recently at Rothschild Asset Management and previously held roles at companies including Fidelity Investments.
