Rabobank moves to new office at South Beach Tower (Amended)
FOOD, agribusiness and commodity bank, Rabobank, has opened its new Singapore office at South Beach Tower to support its expanding presence in the region.
The new office serves as a regional product and service hub for Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
The lender has grown from just two people 30 years ago to more than 200 now.
Marcel van Doremaele, CEO of Rabobank Singapore & Representative Markets, said the new office is "an important milestone" as it enters a growth phase on the back of increased investment in food and agriculture in South-east Asia.
He noted that commodity trading and logistics activity in Singapore have continued to grow.
Designed by Foster + Partners and Aedas, the new office has an environmentally sustainable design with eco features, including its signature microclimatic canopy that harnesses solar energy.
Amendment note:
The South Beach Tower, and not the new office, spans 500,000 square feet. The article has been updated to reflect that.
