Strength in SGD-bond market to lift M&A activity in Asia

THE emergence of the Sing-dollar bond market will help spur acquisitions in the Asian region, as companies find it a compelling alternative to US-dollar bond market, according to a top executive from Credit Suisse.
And more acquisitions could be ahead in the new year, as business owners begin to pick up assets to buy growth, said Edwin Low, co-head of investment banking and capital markets, Asia Pacific, at Credit Suisse.
