UBS names Edmund Koh head of wealth management for Asia Pacific
[ZURICH] UBS Group AG named Edmund Koh head of its wealth management division in the Asia Pacific region after his predecessor, Kathryn Shih, was promoted to president of the region for the bank.
Koh, who is also UBS's country head for Singapore, will start his new assignment on Jan 1, when a reshuffle of the executive board also takes effect, the bank said in a statement on Wednesday. Koh joined UBS in 2012.
"Edmund is a seasoned banker who brings to the role a deep knowledge of banking and financial services in Asia Pacific," said Juerg Zeltner, UBS's head of wealth management. "His extensive experience in the financial industry and in the successful development of new markets, positions him well to lead UBS wealth management into the next phase in developing the strong position we have built in Asia Pacific."
UBS is the biggest manager of money for the rich in the region.
