Amol Gupte named Citi country officer for Singapore and head of Asean
AMOL Gupte has been appointed Citi country officer for Singapore and head of Asean; he will relocate to Singapore and continue to report to Francisco Aristeguieta and participate in the Asia Pacific Operating Committee.
In his new role, he will oversee all of Citi's businesses and franchise operations in Singapore, and will be responsible for maintaining the bank's regulatory and governance standards. Mr Gupte will also be responsible for the leadership of the Asean cluster.
Meanwhile, Patrick Dewilde, Asia Pacific head of markets and securities services, in addition to his current role, has agreed to serve as interim CCO for Singapore while Mr Gupte transitions to his new role.
Citi said it has started the process to identify a successor for Mr Gupte's role as head of trade & treasury solutions for Asia Pacific.
