Artivision share swap deal: numbers look odd
THE numbers behind Artivision Technologies' latest deal can be a bit of a head scratcher.
The perennial loss-making online video technology specialist has announced a proposed investment in a young loss-making online gaming company in an all-share deal.
Here's how the deal works: Artivision and 212 DB Corp, which runs the Play Gig-It game on Facebook, will swap shares such that they hold an almost 5 per cent stake in each other. No cash will actually change hands.
Either party may also subsequently agree to pursue a further investment that will raise their respective stake in each other to 10 per cent.
