Barclays expects rising incomes, less-restrictive travel rules to underpin China's long-term growth in outbound travel

ASEAN airports are well-placed to capture the long-term structural growth in outbound Chinese tourism, says a Barclays research report on the investment outlook for global airports.
The bank foresees that China's rising incomes and its growing number of passport holders will underpin growth in outbound travel. Another factor aiding the growth in number of Chinese travellers will come from less-restrictive travel regulations imposed by destination countries, it said.
