Asia likely to see growth at 5.5% next year: BAML

ASIA is expected to grow at 5.5 per cent next year, up from the expected 5.3 per cent this year, said Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML).
But Singapore's growth is forecast to be subdued at 1.4 per cent next year and 1.8 per cent in 2018, marred by external headwinds.
In the bank's Asia 2017 Year Ahead report dated Dec 2, it said Asia ex-Japan will likely manage to "get through the year without too much of a struggle against substantial recession risks".
