AusGroup appoints new CFO

AUSGROUP Limited on Monday announced the appointment of Christian Andrew Robin Johnstone as its chief financial officer following the resignation of Phillip Lodewikus Coetzer.
In a filing to the bourse operator, the group thanked Mr Coetzer "for his significant contribution to the company over the past two years".
Mr Johnstone, it said, has over 20 years' finance and corporate advisory experience including a number of years in senior finance roles for publicly listed companies.
"He has extensive experience spanning the mining, gas and industrial sectors, having previously worked as CFO for Iron Ore Holdings Ltd for over four years, and Wesfarmers Limited for over six years in its business development department and its industrial gas subsidiary in a senior finance role," AusGroup said.
Prior to Wesfarmers Limited, Mr Johnstone worked for KPMG Corporate Finance in Australia and Asia, and KPMG in Scotland for over 10 years.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

Mr Johnstone holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons), a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment and an (Executive) Master of Business Administration.
