Better revenue, margins boost ThaiBev Q1
It expects no World Cup sales boost given match timings
THAI Beverage Public Co posted a 73 per cent leap in its first-quarter net profit on higher revenue and stronger margins.
The food and beverage group's net profit attributable to owners for the three months ended March 31, 2014, was 5.97 billion baht (S$230 million), or 0.24 baht per share, up from 3.45 billion baht, or 0.14 baht per share, a year ago.
Revenue rose 5 per cent to 41 billion baht, mostly from an increase in sales of spirits.
