AMID a highly volatile market, investors have swooped into safe haven assets, chiefly bonds and gold. This can also be gleaned from trading activity in the exchange-traded funds (ETFs) listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX).
Total turnover among the top 10 most actively-traded ETFs in January this year jumped 20 per cent to S$200.1 million from S$167.2 million a year ago, according to SGX's investor education portal My Gateway. This brings the total 12-month turnover of these 10 ETFs to S$2.2 billion.
