SINGAPORE brokers are not expecting a strong pick-up in market activity in the first half of 2015, with UOB-Kay Hian Holdings on Tuesday guiding for a "subdued" outlook.

The broker posted a 7.4 per cent increase in net profit during the fourth quarter as higher lending activity offset a decline in commission income.
