Buying and selling activity picks up
THE buying rose based on filings on the Singapore Exchange in the third week of February with 16 companies that recorded 30 purchases worth S$6 million. The figures were sharply up from the previous week's three-day totals of eight companies, 11 purchases and S$1.3 million.
The selling, on the other hand, picked up after two straight weeks of no sales with one firm that recorded one disposal worth $0.072 million.
Meanwhile, the buyback activity surged for the second straight week with 16 companies that posted 52 repurchases worth S$18.9 million. The figures were sharply up from the previous week's four firms, 11 trades and S$3.3 million.
The bulk of the purchases last week were made following a fall in share prices with buybacks in Karin Technology, M1, KSH Holdings and Singtel, and insider buys in Asiaphos, Sin Heng Heavy Ma…
