Buying rebounds while buyback activity stays high
THE buying rebounded sharply based on filings on the Singapore Exchange in the third week of December with 25 companies recording 59 purchases worth S$11.56 million. The figures are up from the previous week's 17 firms, 51 purchases and S$3.39 million.
The selling, too, rose with two companies that recorded two disposals worth S$0.426 million. The figures are up from the previous week's one firm, one disposal and S$0.004 million.
Meanwhile, buyback activity was high for the third straight week with 26 companies posting 89 repurchases worth S$15.5 million. The number of firms and trades are up from the previous week's 21 companies and 82 repurchases. The value, however, is down from the previous week's S$19.6 million.
