Challenger's 2015 profit rises 23% despite 1% fall in revenue
Profit lifted by govt grants, closure of M'sian retail ops
CHALLENGER Technologies has posted a net profit of S$18.2 million for 2015, up 23 per cent from S$14.8 million in 2014, despite a one per cent dip in revenue.
The IT and electronics retailer said that this was due to higher government grants received and lower operating expenses from the closure of its retail operations in Malaysia.
Meanwhile, earnings per share (EPS) were up 1.01 cents, from 4.28 cents in 2014 to 5.29 cents in 2015.
