Chew Kok Chor to leave Raffles Education from Jan 2, 2018
RAFFLES Education Corporation Limited announced on Tuesday that its executive director and deputy chief executive officer Chew Kok Chor will resign from the education provider from Jan 2, 2018.
"The board extends its gratitude and appreciation to Chew Kok Chor for his dedicated service and valuable contributions to the Company," Raffles said in a filing with the Singapore bourse after the market closed.
In October, tycoon Oei Hong Leong, who has amassed a stake of more than 10 per cent in Raffles Education, served notice that he would ask the company's founder, chairman and chief executive Chew Hua Seng to resign. Mr Oei and Oei Hong Leong Art Museum Limited have since withdrawn their requisition notice.
Raffles Education shares ended S$0.005 or 2 per cent lower at S$0.245 on Tuesday.
