China Environment hires PRC legal firm for various civil cases

CHINA Environment said on Monday that it has engaged a legal firm in the People's Republic of China (PRC) to handle various civil cases.

These include:

(i) a civil suit by Longyan Dongxiao Construction Engineering announced on Dec 6, 2016, against the company's wholly-owned subsidiary Fujian Dongyuan Environmental Protection (FDEP) for a construction contract dispute;

(ii) a civil suit by Fujian Tongyong Hengxin Electrical Engineering announced on Dec 6, 2016, against FDEP for a construction contract dispute;

(iii) a civil suit by Chen Bing against FDEP for alleged loan of 5 million yuan (S$1.02 million) owing, announced on Nov 1, 2016;

(iv) a civil suit by Chen Wenzhong against FDEP for an alleged loan of 490,000 yuan owing announced on Nov 9, 2016;

(v) a civil suit by Wuyi Jiufeng Anzhuang Engineering against the company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Anhui Dongyuan Environmental Protection (ADEP), for a payment dispute announced on Nov 1, 2016;

(vi) a civil suit by Fujian Mintai Environmental Protection against FDEP for alleged rental arrears outstanding announced on Oct 19, 2016;

(vii) a civil suit by Bank of China Bengbu against FDEP announced on Aug 24, 2016;

(viii) a civil suit by Bank of China Longyan against FDEP announced on Oct 19, 2016;

(ix) a civil suit by China Construction Bank against FDEP announced on Sept 26, 2016; and

(x) a civil suit by Zhongxin Bank against FDEP announced on Nov 9, 2016.

The mainboard-listed industrial waste gas treatment solutions provider added that it will file a report in the PRC with the authorities there on former executive chairman Huang Min's alleged fraud against the company.

It will also "pursue legal action against customers whose outstanding trade receivables owing to FDEP are genuine".
