China Jinjiang bags third waste treatment project in India
CHINA Jinjiang Environment Holding Company has clinched its third overseas waste treatment project in India that will be undertaken on a build-operate-transfer model for a 20-year concession.
The group's total investment amount for the project in Gurgaon, in the northern Haryana state, is estimated at 3.86 billion rupees (S$82.3 million) and was secured by China Jinjiang's subsidiary in India, Ecogreen Energy.
Under the agreement with the local authorities, China Jinjiang will construct the project and have an exclusive right to provide waste treatment services in that area.
In line with the three concessions secured in India, Ecogreen Energy has incorporated three subsidiaries as project companies.
