Swissco bags charter contracts worth $27m
MARINE-SERVICES provider Swissco Holdings has secured $27 million in charter contracts. The mainboard-listed company's two 60-metre anchor handling tug-and-supply vessels will be deployed immediately after the group takes their delivery next month and in January. The first vessel will be deployed for at least a year in the Middle East, with a sale-and-purchase option exercisable after the charter period. The second vessel will be deployed for 21/2 years in north-east Australia. Swissco's chief executive officer Alex Yeo believes that demand for vessel-chartering services will continue to be robust.
