JES clinches bulk carrier contract
JES International Holdings Limited (JES) has won a contract to build a 95,000 deadweight ton Post-Panamax bulk carrier, with options for three other vessels of the same design. The contract plus options is worth up to US$120 million.
The delivery of the vessel is expected in September 2015. The delivery of the other vessels, if the options are exercised, will be from November 2015 onwards, the firm said. The contract, excluding the options, is expected to contribute to the net tangible assets and earnings per share of the company for the year ending Dec 31, 2014.
