CHIEF financial officers need to be strategic thinkers and strategic partners to their CEOs now more than ever, as a rapidly changing global economy and the advent of myriad technological advancements dramatically alter the way business is done.
The critical need for CFOs to develop strategic thinking skills, as they evolve even further away from their traditional roles of being mainly bookkeepers, is voiced in a new report by EY and CPA Australia.
"Ready for the future economy? The CFO's perspective" surveyed 88 Singapore-based CFOs across various industries and organisations on their challenges, roles and skill sets.
