Dark pools need to let light in and gain mass: Liquidnet CEO

STRONG institutional volumes and increased transparency are necessary for dark pools to remain viable, said Liquidnet founder and chief executive Seth Merrin.
"It's difficult to build a functioning off-market trading venue," Mr Merrin, whose firm operates a dark pool, told The Business Times.
