THE first revamped edition of The Business Times Weekend (BT Weekend) will hit the stands on Saturday.

From this week, the newspaper will come with its own luxury lifestyle magazine, called Weekend. The magazine will cover the best in fashion and travel, food and design, and everything in between.

Its debut cover story "Are We Cool Yet?" will look at how Singapore stacks up against New York, Paris, London and other great cities of the world.

The new Weekend will also introduce The Rolex Interview, a profile of key personalities making waves in their respective industries. On Saturday, The Rolex Interview will go one-on-one with Tuan Ching, worldwide creative director of Ogilvy & Mather.

Readers will also get the latest on luxury destinations in the magazine's Travel section. This week, Weekend explores luxury hotel Cheval Blanc Randheli in the Maldives.

Weekend will also offer quick and easy style tips for work and play, with fashion essentials featured in Weekend Buys.

The main newspaper section for the weekend will also be rebooted. The front page will feature a long-form cover story, called Brunch, which will give readers a leisurely look at everything that is complex and fascinating.

In the first edition, the Brunch feature will explore the concept of a weekend, and how our relationship with our two favourite days of the week has changed.

The Cubicle Files column will also be back with more advice for every white-collar quandary, while The Finish Line column will help readers make sense of all the action from the sporting world.

They will be joined by two new columns - Disrupted and Offbeat. Disrupted will be the reader's primer on the latest and most astonishing things in tech, while Offbeat will be dedicated to major trivia and startling facts.

From investment and wealth to office politics, humour and sports, the revamped BT Weekend edition promises a smart and thought-provoking read that will last readers through the weekend and well into the week ahead.
