Former Secura CEO Paul Lim appointed independent director of Advance SCT
PAUL Lim Choon Wui, former executive director and CEO of security solutions provider Secura Group Limited, has been appointed as independent director of Advance SCT with effect on Friday.
In a filing to the Singapore Exchange, Advance SCT said that Mr Lim will be an asset to the company due to his "vast experience" in listed companies as well as his active contributions to the business ecosystem and the government sector.
Mr Lim had stepped down from his role in Secura Group Limited - a group he founded - on Oct 10, citing the pursuit of personal interests as the reason.
He is a member of the Security Industry Transformation Map Tripartite Committee and the Singapore Business Federation's SME committee.
Mr Lim took over the reins of Soverus Pte Ltd in 2010, growing the private security company to become the Soverus Group in 2013.
Two years later, the group merged with the Secura group of companies, which provides security printing services, to form Secura Group. Mr Lim became group CEO in January 2016, when it listed on the Catalist board.
Before his role in Soverus, he held various positions in the Singapore Police Force between 1990 and 2010, including key appointments as commander of the Tanglin Police Division and as deputy director of various departments at the Police Headquarters.
