Global M&A deal value in 2015 could surpass 2007 peak

DESPITE a rough summer, total mergers and acquisitions (M&A) value this year looks set to surge past last year's mark, and could even surpass the last peak in 2007, said a report by media company Mergermarket.

Global deal values, at US$2.87 trillion for the first three quarters, are already 21 per cent higher than the equivalent period in 2014, and down just 12 per cent from the whole of last year.
