Drive.ai to look into Singapore as potential deployment location for its driverless technology

IN a move that will accelerate its influence in the global land transport space, Grab has invested US$15 million in California-based driverless car technology startup, Drive.ai.
The investment will deepen Grab's efforts in autonomous vehicles - a space the Singapore- based ridesharing and mobile payments firm has described as "exciting" - and could make autonomous ridesharing in Singapore a reality sooner than expected.
With the funding, Drive.ai will open an office in Singapore - its first outside the US - and explore the Republic as a potential deployment location for its driverless technology…
