Hong Kong's Xin Hua Securities joins SGX's derivatives market as trading member
HONG KONG-based Xin Hua Securities has joined as a trading member of Singapore Exchange's (SGX) derivatives market.
This brings the total number of SGX's trading members in the derivatives market to 58, the bourse said in an announcement on Wednesday.
It also has 23 clearing members in the derivatives market, and 11 clearing members for OTC-traded financial derivatives.
SGX head of derivatives Michael Syn said the active participation of Xin Hua Securities and their network of clients will add to the liquidity of SGX's growing suit of derivative products.
Xin Hua Securities general manager Will Wu said it is delighted and honoured to be admitted as a derivatives trading member of SGX, adding that SGX has a unique position in the derivatives markets globally and especially Asia.
SGX also has 27 trading members and 25 clearing members in its securities market.
