Hot stock: Venture's share price hits high of S$15.74

SHARES of Venture Corporation reached a high of S$15.74 on early Tuesday morning, placing it among the top 20 gainers on the Singapore Exchange.

As at 10am, the share price had gained 3.8 per cent or S$0.56 to reach S$15.45; over 1.08 million shares had changed hands. The counter opened at S$14.9, and has been trading upward since.

The mainboard-listed contract manufacturer on Friday posted a stellar half-year report card, with second-quarter net profit up 61 per cent to S$69.8 million on better sales and improved profit margins. Revenue increased by 48.3 per cent to a record S$1 billion for the three months ended June 30.
