HSBC launches SGD income bond fund
Relatively low-risk, the fund joins a short list of SGD funds aimed at retail investors

HSBC has launched a Singapore dollar income bond fund for retail investors, adding to a small pool of Singapore dollar (SGD) funds regarded as relatively low-risk.
The fund will primarily invest at least half in SGD-denominated bonds issued by governments, government agencies, supranational bodies or companies that are Singapore and non-Singapore based issuers, HSBC said Thursday. All other investments will be hedged to SGD.
