IHH Healthcare Q1 profit up 25% at RM159m
Top contributor Parkway Pantai's revenue rises 14% to RM$1.04b
HOSPITAL operator IHH Healthcare chalked up a 25 per cent year-on-year jump in net profit to RM$159.05 million for the first quarter ended March 31.
Revenue was up eight per cent year-on-year to RM$1.757 billion, boosted by higher in-patient admissions and revenue contributions across the group's operations, as well as by the opening of Acibadem Atakent Hospital in January.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) growth was underpinned by organic growth from existing operations as well as improved operating leverage from ramping up the Mount Elizabeth Novena, Acibadem Ankara and Acibadem Bodrum hospitals, which were launched in FY12.
