IMDA, SGX team up to help tech SMEs access capital markets

AS part of efforts to help SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) reap the benefits of the digital economy, the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore's (IMDA) Accreditation@IMDA will work with the Singapore Exchange (SGX) to increase accessibility to capital markets for SME technology companies, Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister for Communications and Information, said at the opening ceremony of the Infocomm Media Business Exchange (IMBX) on Tuesday.
Saying that more details of the partnership will be announced next week, Dr Yaacob added that Accreditation@IMDA has helped companies to establish credentials, build track records to compete in the global market, and facilitate fund raising for expansion. This current initiative is expected to "provide a runway for future growth", he added.
