Investors glean insights on Reits at symposium
Singapore
INVESTORS eyeing Real Estate Investment Trusts (Reits) should focus on diversifying their investment portfolio, investing on a regular basis, and gunning for long-term benefits, said Reit Association of Singapore (Reitas) CEO Sonny Tan.
Singapore Reits give investors exposure to six underlying sectors, each with its own unique traits as well as periods of ups and downs, said Mr Tan. "By taking a diversified perspective on your investment, you'll be able to have a more stable portfolio," he said. He added that investors should not put all their resources into Reits at one shot. Investments should instead be made in "bite-sized pieces".
