London, Hong Kong next in line to receive SIA's new A380 cabin products
FROM February, London and Hong Kong will be the next cities to be served by Singapore Airlines' new Airbus A380 aircraft, which feature the refreshed Suites and Business Class products.
From Feb 16, the new A380 will operate as SQ322 (Singapore-London) on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. For the return flight, it will operate as SQ305 (London-Singapore) until Apr 5; from Apr 7, the return flight will operate as SQ317 (London-Singapore) on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
For services to Hong Kong, the new A380s will be deployed as SQ860 (Singapore-Hong Kong) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and SQ863 (Hong Kong-Singapore) from Feb 18 to Apr 6. From Apr 8, the aircraft are scheduled to operate as SQ856 (Singapore-Hong Kong) and SQ861 (Hong Kong-Singapore)
SIA's new cabin products were debuted to Sydney in December following the delivery of the first of five new A380s.
The new cabin products will be rolled out on the five new A380s, following which 14 other aircraft, currently in service, will be retrofitted.
Faced with stiff competition from the Gulf carriers and other rivals, SIA is investing US$850 million to upgrade its A380 cabin products.
