M&A value in first 9 months highest since 2014
It surges 31.7% to US$62.5b from a year ago; advisory fees from completed deals jump 69.2% to US$135.5m

THE merger and acquisition (M&A) activity in Singapore hit US$33.1 billion in value in the third quarter of 2017, taking the total M&A deal value in the first nine months to its highest since 2014.
The overall M&A activity so far this year has reached US$62.5 billion, up 31.7 per cent from the first nine months of 2016, going by Thomson Reuters data released on Thursday.
