Mainboard aspirant BHG Retail Reit to focus on growth story
Undeterred by criticism of its low yields, Reit says growth will come from its 12 pipeline malls & niche positioning

BHG Retail Reit cleared the air on its comparatively low distribution yields on Wednesday, the same day it lodged its final prospectus, taking it one step closer to becoming the first mainboard entrant this year.
In a group interview, CEO of BHG Retail Trust Management, Chan Iz Lynn, told reporters that its Hefei and Chengdu malls are still relatively new and need time to "hit their optimum". Both began operating in 2013. That may explain the low yield.
