MMA juggernaut making its mark in Asia
High on the agenda for One Championship is an IPO on the Singapore Exchange in the next two to three years, says chairman Chatri Sityodtong.
FOR a company that hasn't even celebrated its fifth birthday, these are pretty heady times for those on the payroll at Singapore-based mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion One Championship.
The organisation has stamped its mark across most of South-east Asia, made inroads into the lucrative China and Middle East markets, and counts household names such as Canon, LG and Disney among its many sponsors and partners.
Billing itself as "Asia's largest sports media property with a global broadcast to one billion homes across more than 75 countries", One Championship is also deep into a ten-year cable television deal with Fox Sports Asia (formerly known as ESPN Star Sports).
