MMP Resources wins appeal to defend claim for S$5.2m
MAINBOARD-LISTED MMP Resources has won an appeal on the S$5.2 million claim filed by Edward Lee against the company.
"The company has succeeded on the appeal and has been granted unconditional leave to defend the claim filed by Edward Lee against the company for, inter alia, the sum of S$5,215,056.67," it said in a Singapore Exchange filing on Tuesday night.
The earlier judgment for the company to pay to Mr Lee this sum, in addition to interest and cost, has also been set aside, it said.
MMP added that it will continue and intensify its investigations into the affairs relating to the events in 2014 and early 2015, and will not hesitate to take appropriate actions against any wrongdoers.
