More buying, fewer buybacks
Sharp rise in the number of trades and companies making purchases from previous week's 4-day totals
BUYING rose while selling among directors was flat and buyback activity fell, according to filings on Singapore Exchange from May 19 to 23. There were 14 companies recording 27 purchases worth $3.1 million, and three firms with seven disposals worth $1.8 million.
The number of companies and trades on the buying side were sharply up from the previous week's four-day totals of nine firms and 18 purchases.
On the selling side, the number of firms and trades were consistent with the previous week's three companies and five disposals.
In terms of turnover, the buy and sell figures were sharply down from the previous week's purchases worth $9.67 million and sales worth $10.2 million.
