Net short US$ position at its largest since 2013

SPECULATORS' net short bets on the US dollar grew this week to their largest position since January 2013, according to calculations by Reuters and Commodity Futures Trading Commission data released on Friday.
The value of the dollar's net short position in the week ended Aug 8, derived from net positions of International Monetary Market speculators in the yen, euro, British pound, Swiss franc and Canadian and Australian dollars, totalled US$10.23 billion.
