THE Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) said on Thursday that it plans to impose new margin rules for "uncleared" over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives, in a bid to reduce the build-up of systemic risk arising from such instruments.
This will be done in phases beginning with the banks, it said.
